Most important to any website and online business's success is their Host Providers level of reliability. At Pinnacle we consider reliability to be the most important aspect of our services. We understand that while affordable prices are nice, reliability is an absolute necessity. So how do we ensure our services are always the most stable and reliable available today?
 
 
>> Excellent Server UPTIME and MONITORING
All of Pinnacle's servers are monitored constantly (24x7) using 3 methods.
  • Server Pinging (by The Planet Datacenter)
  • Automated Http page requests every minute (from another Pinnacle server)
  • Manual monitoring (by Pinnacle Staff)
If either automated monitoring method does not get the expected response the server is automatically rebooted and we are notified via mobile phone immediatley to investigate. We guarantee server uptimes of 99.8%.
>> Experienced and Professional Server Administration
At Pinnacle we always take care to keep our servers well maintained. All server software is updated regulary, however we always allow a short delay after software upgrade release dates to allow "update bugs" to get sorted out first. Apart from software we also monitor all vital signs on our servers in regards to resource loads, resource limits and user activities. All servers have our own custom coded process monitoring scripts to ensure no user process can overload a servers. Anti-Virus scans are done regulary, as are other security scans and we also constantly monitor client activities and user email activities. With more than 3 years server administration experience and a proven track record of reliabilty to date we can guarantee a secure and pleasant experience.
>> NO Server Overloading
At Pinnacle we manage our server loads correctly so you don't end up being cramed on a slow, unstable and overloaded server. All processes on our servers are monitored automatically and if an overload problem is ever detected, the offending processes are killed to bring the loads quickly down again, and we are immediately notified via mobile phone. Our server client populations are determined purely by average server loads, we aim to keep our servers running at loads around 2-6 with temporary peak loads no greater than 20. Since all our servers have Dual CPU's these load numbers need to be halved to compare with single CPU servers.

It can be so frustrating waiting up to days for a response from some Host Providers. Here at Pinnacle we pride ourselves on our fast support response times. Not only are all our support responses fast but they are all meaningful and clear, so you don't have to contact us again and again. We typically average 0-6 hours per support request, and guarantee a response within 12 hours.

Affordabilty & Flexibility
The Pinnacle business model is a fair one. We're willing to stretch ourselves to try to accomodate your particular needs. If you're requiring a certain software package (rpm) we will always do our best to have it installed. All custom software package installs are free but of course subject to approval.
